MAPPOLA Database
A quintessential research tool for, and created by, Team MAPPOLA, as well as our central repository of fundamental research data is the MAPPOLA database:
Video Presentations
Team MAPPOLA was involved in the production of a set of video documentaries designed to showcase the breadth and depth of our research as well as the high level of relevance and applicability of our research data for exploring the ancient world:
- A tale of two wives (and four husbands?): the story of two exceptional women from Imperial Rome (in collaboration with Dr Davide Massimo, Nottingham, and the MNR – Terme di Diocleziano, Rome, generously supported by the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies of the University of Vienna)
- Special order: verse inscriptions and the stonecutter’s workshop (a talk presented at the kick-off event for our Warsaw-based ERC partner project Stone-Masters, led by Dr Pawel Nowakowski)
- What can a dog called Margarita teach us about ancient Rome (in collaboration with Dr María Limón, Sevilla, and Prof. Xavier Espluga, Barcelona, generously funded by the British Academy)
- The Poetics of Displacement: A Conversation (in collaboration with the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing)
- Democratising Roman Poetry
